Got this one off the website, and I decided to do it because I have changed a lot since I was younger. I did it by putting on a red shirt, grabbing a chair, and replicating the pose of the picture I chose. I learned that I really have changed a lot, its hard to replicate certain poses, and sometimes lighting just isn't in your favor.
Plastic Wrap Photos
Lc and I were trying hard to get this one to work, because we both enjoyed the foggy effect on the photos. We took plastic bags and cut holes and jagged edges into them, and moved them to get the desired effects. They didn't work the best, but we figured out lighting can help it contrast better, positioning can be very effective, and plastic bags are not very manipulative.
Colored Soft Edges
Basically the same as the Plastic Wrap project, we took streamers and colored papers to create the desired colored soft edges. We taped the pieces on the outside of the lens, and then focused to obtain the look. I learned that subtle changes can change the whole edge's look, again, pose can show off the effect well, and lighting is needed to obtain the effect.
Double Exposure
I haven't done a double exposure in a long time, so I thought it would be neat to do one. I took a picture of Lc on a wall that would help contrast her, cut her out, then took a picture of roses and through the work of saturation/hue/contrast/ all those levels, I had her in black-white and then simply took layer masks to make the effect. I learned that red backgrounds can effect how brown hair can be cut out, neutral backgrounds manipulate the photo less, and how really useful the magnetic lasso is.
Cool Extras
These aren't a part of any particular project, but this was when Lc and I were attempting to do bokeh. I really enjoyed the picture on the left, the angle is neat and the lights are pretty. The right reminds me of our light painting project, and it basically has the same angle of the left picture, but different shutter speeds. These are basically bloopers but I like them :>
